Poem ~ Truth Rising

"Found poems take existing texts and refashion them, reorder them, and present them as poems. The literary equivalent of a collage, found poetry is often made from newspaper articles, street signs, graffiti, speeches, letters, or even other poems.
A pure found poem consists exclusively of outside texts: the words of the poem remain as they were found, with few additions or omissions. Decisions of form, such as where to break a line, are left to the poet."

Truth Rising:  George Harrison Found*

                             If you don’t know where you’re going

                             Any road will take you there

                             There was no beginning – there is no end

                             It’s so far out – the way out is in

                             The truth is hiding, lurking, banking

                             Filling my heart with delight

                             I’m a Pisces fish

                             I’m a Pisces fish

                             And the river runs through my soul

                             I’m living proof of all life’s contradictions

                             One half’s going where the other half’s just been

                             I never knew life was loaded

                             I never knew that things exploded

                             I only found out when I was down

                             Looking for my life

                             In a room of mirrors you can see for miles

                             But in the rising sun you can feel your life begin

                             I heard the messenger from inner space
